HOW WE HIRE

From first contact to signing the contract, here’s what you
can expect at each stage of our recruitment process.

STEP 1: DECIDE YOU WANT TO WORK FOR US

You’ve read our recruitment site, about page and stalked us on LinkedIn, and you feel pretty darn confident about fitting right in. Lovely. Let’s keep moving.

STEP 2: TELL US THAT YOU'RE KEEN

Send us your CV and a short cover letter or 2-minute video. Based on what you know about us, tell us about your career so far, what’s giving you the feel-good factor about working for us, and why you’d be a great colleague.

STEP 3: LET'S ZOOM

If we like your application you’ll be invited for a 30-60 minute video-on, Zoom call. We’ll know so much more about each other once we’ve actually spoken, right? So this informal chat gets any first interview nerves out of the way and makes sure we’re all roughly on the same page regarding modern dentistry and work ethic.

STEP 4: MORE ZOOMING

Assuming that first chat goes well, we may have up to 3 more Zoom calls. We’ll chat About all things dentistry and, yes, our questions may get tougher as we talk.

Sometimes, we might also go off on a tangent, discussing the joys of coast life or what we think our pets get up to while we’re at work. Trivial? Possibly. But when we say our team is like a second family, we mean it. And how easily we can chat about everyday things says a lot about potential working relationships. We also know that coming to
Yeppoon might be a big move. So, we want to give this the best chance of working out.

STEP 5: COME VISIT US!

Taking a job in a place you’ve never visited in a town you barely know would be utter madness. So the next step is to invite you to come have a proper look at the practice and tour the town.

We’ll fly you to Yeppoon, put you up in a hotel and spend a few days showing you around. You’ll get to observe our day-to-day, and meet the team. Once work’s finished, we’ll explore the area so you get a feel for the location as a whole. We can’t promise to show you all of the beaches, but we’ll certainly take you to the best ones.

STEP 6: THE LAST ZOOM MEETING (WE PROMISE)

After your visit we’ll arrange one last face-to-face Zoom to check how you’re feeling about everything and iron out any last details regarding your position.

STEP 7: THE OFFER LETTER AND CONTRACT

This will be sent electronically for you to read over, sign and return. Once that’s done we’ll assist you with your move in any way we can.
